Features of RDB College of Arts & Science

• Special coaching classes are conducted to prepare students to appear in IAS, IPS, IFS, TNPSC, Bank Officers, etc examinations
• The General Library is equipped with more than 10,000 volumes of books and it is open on all working days from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm.
• The inmates of the hostel can utilize the Information Centre round the clock.
• A separate Library with more than 4000 titles functions exclusively for the MBA Department. However, this can also be used by the undergraduate students to extend their knowledge.
• There are two hostels – one exclusively for boys and the other exclusively for girls. Cost-effective boarding and accommodation are the specialties of the hostel. The hostel provides a safe and secure living environment.
• The College offers opportunities to the students to serve the society through NSS, RRC, etc.
• Transport facilities are available to the college from Kumbakonam and other nearby villages of this area. 11 vehicles are operated for this purpose.
• For the benefit of the Muslim Students, a Mosque has been constructed within the premises of the college to facilitate them to have their prayers in time.
• Transport facility is provided by the management for the benefit of the day-scholar students. Buses and vans are operated from different nearby villages and towns to the College on a concessional fare. In some circumstances, vans are provided exclusively for girls. Students are picked up from their residence itself.
• The students of these institutions are eligible to avail Scholarships as per government norms. According to the government norms in force, SC/ST scholarships, Minority scholarships, Merit scholarships, etc., are available. In addition to these scholarships, the management takes steps to get financial assistance for deserving students from Charitable Trusts and Service Organizations.
